get a bee*r and a pressure switch. put switch on clutch and set rpm to 3500 rpm. then when you dip the clutch and keep your foot down it will keep spooling, wont rev out and will sound awesome. or you could put a gear on the dizzy and a motor with a switch on accelerator and rpm to activate it to retard ignition and activate 5th injector

Re: megane project :) *pics 4/3/13 *diy drag wing and bay tidy*
havnt updated in awhile as i havnt been doin much on it realy due to money but got a fe bits done tnite and de other day
made up a full stainless turbo back de other day
all new gaskets made up and fitted
new manifold made up tnite
along with m spots done and tinted
intercooler mounted and piped
turbo support bracket
had a small problem doh during the week and the car went on fire there was a pin hole in de fuel line which i never spotted as it was at the back of the engine but i lucky got it in time only a small bit of damage done most of the wiring melted along with a injector and ait sensor but got it all sorted and back driving again
started to do a bit more wrk there tnite and made up a better flow manifold
using standard flange as itll save alot of hassel and becasue its steel not cast
going get wiring sorted tmoro
and put on my one way valves that i made using a tire valve and stem chopped down
heres a few pics
mani been made
few welds to grind down still
pic of the pipe work for the turbo
intercooler going on
lights tinted thanks to graham
desided to go with h4s in my spots so i have and heads in them now sumthing different and since its a budget build i had them in the house never used the only thing is i had to make brackets to hold them and widen the hole as the are h1 fitment
bracket made up to hold them good and tight
done my exhaust aswel..sounded muck with the bottom exhaust so desided to make up a full system and it sound 100000 times better now full turbo back straight through stainless system on to a debaffled box...how i missed seening this
and how things look in the shed at the momment
sud have more updates tmoro
let us know what yous think

Re: megane project :) *pics 4/3/13 *diy drag wing and bay tidy*
bit more got done tnite
got half rad in and modified the fan from the bigger rad too fit on and made up new brackets
finished off most of the intercooler pipping just stuck for a straight peice of rubber pipe now
gave the bay a quick coat of paint
and relocated the power steering bottle
difference in sizes have more room for my intercooler pipping now without havnt to bend the pipes
fan made fit from the full size rad
bracket i made up to hold the rad on the left side as i used to original bracket on the right side in the standard mounting point
rad now fully in and pipes plumbed
relocated power steering bottle
running alloy intercooler piping just stuck for the straight peice now
and lastly the bay with a fresh lick
hopping to nearly all the fab work done tmoro then will be tearing it down tmoro nite and goin to clean everything up

Re: megane project :) *pics 4/3/13 *diy drag wing and bay tidy*
car had its first proper day out yesterday got 1 new coil off a fella dwn de road 4 a 10e which wasnt to bad thn found that the other one was bad aswel so went arund to one of the lads near mine that specailize in renaults and got 3 off him for free got me plugs gapped to 0.030 to stop spark blow aswel..car is spot on now and spools realy quick next is to put in an fcd im making up..few pics off it out in the wild
didnt have a extension long enufe to reach the plugs either without taking off the inlet manifold so made one up
goin finish up a good bit tmoro and give it a good wash

Re: megane project :) *pics 4/3/13 *diy drag wing and bay tidy*
was having problems with my boosting peakimg to high and found out wat was wrng after...it seemed tht the info i found out abut my actuator was wrng..i tested it by making up a peice of pipe wit a tyre valve on one side and sloting de other side onto the actuator and bring up the pressure till the wastegate opens fully and thn bringing de pressure bck dwn till it starts to close and it seems tht the wastegate is to open fully at 20 psi so i chect the ct9 one and it was .4 so i made between the 2 of thm a adjustable actuator
meassured up the ct9 to wer it fits proper and redrilled the bracket on it it thn chopped the arm jst the rite size to fit
screwed off the old t15 actuator adjustor
driiled out the adjustor as the ct9 arm as it ticker
and tapped and died both of them
scwred thm toghter
and job done
im on the look out now for the high/low off a glanza if anyone has one as close to free
and cud anyone shed sum light on the how the actuator vacuum ports are run for high/low

Re: megane project :) *pics 4/3/13 *diy drag wing and bay tidy*
made up a 2 stage boost controller there anut and hour ago only took abut 30 mins to make
used an alfa acis solienid
choped up a carb bowl
switch (rocker switch so it cant be switched by mistake)
and a pipe of pipe and a relay
alfa acis solienid
using a rocker switch to be on the safe side so it cant be hit by mistake
used an old carb bowl of one of the quads for the petrol bleeder as ill be using it to bleed air
chopped and filled and was left with this for my bleeder
all bits put toghter
and found the perfect mounting point wer the water bottle used to be
will be testing it out tmoro and will have an update thn

Standard wastegate vacuum to de actuator thn whn ye hit de switch which opens de solenoid which works as bleed valve for high boost simples

Re: megane project :) *pics 4/3/13 *diy drag wing and bay tidy*
ahh cool, i though it literally just bled of air without control If you had a boost switch you could just set it so that the solenoid is open at low boost and then the solenoid stays closed until .7 bar on high boost
