mk3 gt turbo build

well picked this gt up about a month ago had a fairly good spec before it was stripped of its goodies im planning on a 5e turbo engine big front mount decent exhaust system for it paint the wheels get it running and tip top shape then figure out what i want to do with it.
at the minute it looks very sorry for itself but things should be changing soon enough this is going to be one long build thread as funds are slack and parts are hard got well enough of me a few sorry looking picture of itself


but in a past life it looked like this will be back there one day

jesus that is some spec alright! did you buy it without the engine or what?

yeah its a fair spec list i bought it as a rolling shell no engine or box drives or exhaust i have a 5e turbo for it just need to source drives box exhaust for it and she'll live again

oh rite there will be some power in that when its finished...

hope so its all going to be standard apart from the block once i knows it strong and healthy let the madness begin one the engine

only way to do it sure seen a few lads go bolting bits onto stock engines and whacking the boost up before even looking at them properly see if there good enough to take the power then wonder why they blow up

ya they think they can turn up the boost on them without doing anything else and think they have an unreal car but then it doesnt last but in al fairnes sum people do serious jobs on them too!

ya some buy a actuator and go mad other go the right way and add performance parts then increase the boost to where its safe

small update got some new bits for the gt for christmas pics will be uploaded tomorow the light is starting to shine at the end of the tunnel

evry 5e needs to be ripped apart and rebuild to turbospec u cant just slap a turbo on a old
engine somthing WILL go wrong

the chassi is fairly straight on that car seen it in seans

well this 5e was running fine before headgasket went so i know its good so hopefully wont be long getting it running,, yeah its a very clean gt for it year one small mark on the boot but apart from that its fairly mint

well update time over due it has a dash agin and an interior loom at long last starting to look like a car again more pictures when the big bold 5E arrives

havent updated this in a while said i'd throw a few pictures up of whats happened so far,,headgasket is ordered so should be here next week so engine should be getting put back together soon. still have loads of bits to buy for it and paint on it

well not much off an update waiting for bits to be got was in the shed got bored and decided to paint the rocker cover

came out wel nick
