MK1 GT build (Update added to 1st post)

im in the middle of building my mk1 GT, This car was rough when i bought it beacuse it was resprayed before and wasnt done right with overspray everywhere and just not looked after in general, So i said id rescue it here is what i have done and my pans to do...
Plans:
-full respray in a different shade of red
-respray wheels
-new steering rack
-get a different backbox
-and tidy up anything else that needs to be
Done:
- fitted coilovers
- replaced the brake calipers
- replaced interior bits that were damaged or not there at all
- Engine is out an engine bay is in the proces of being resprayed
-Timing belt is in the proces of being done now
-There are loads of other small bits that i have done but just cant think of them all

Been a while since i updated this so here is what ive done since...

Took out the engine to spray the engine bay and do a few bits with the engine:
while the engine was out i got the timing belt and pulley an tensioner done

I then powerwashed the engine bay and underneath the car bagan to get it ready for paint:

This is the finished product of the engine bay:


I sprayed the bottom half of the engine bay black so it would be easier keep clean and the top half went red
I now have the engine back in and just have a few small things left to conect up

The side of all the pics are cut of for some odd reason

Whats the plans?

yaa they are fairly rare alright!! plans are basicaly to tidy it up and give it a full respray my brother is a pannel beater so he is doing alot of work on it with me He had a few GTs in his day too

believe it or not lad it was actualy farely rough when i got it but it is on the road to recovery now... I think the glow pannel is what makes the car really! they are hard enough get i woudnt mind geting another for spare just incase something hapens to mine

Thats how mine is now fairly rough but it has the makings of a good gt,,them glow panels are fairly hard got alright,,mine has the quad lights up font isnt mine supposed to have a glow panel

ya! what year is your car?

1995

the glow pannels only came on them in 1990 an 1991!

ah right so its a mk2 gt i have then ah well i may just stick with the little refletors then

wel the 95s are mk3 the mk2 had same headlights as mk1 but a diferent pannel on the back

ah right i learn somthing new about that car every day haha may change my build title haha

haa im the same sher, i didnt no much at da start but from lukin them up and tryin ta get parts you find out alot of things And plus my older brother used ta own a few and hes doin alot of work with me on the car so i learn alot that way too
